He listens to his students and tailors classes to fit our needs and questions. He is so patient and helpful no matter how many questions and times I've bothered him for help. He gives great advice that I trust because of his many years of experience in the business and humble attitude. His classes aren't a way to show off his own talent or brag about his career; he is humble and cares about his student's success. I think my favorite thing about his classes is that he not only helps you with nailing on-screen acting, but he really helps you understand the business side and how to package yourself as a professional actor. Without his self-tape class, I would still be making a fool of myself to casting directors because most classes don't teach you how to handle the business side of show business. Since coming to the Indy Actors Academy I'm consistently getting booked, I'm more confident when I submit and go to auditions and on camera. So side bonus things I really appreciate is that he points out things in your acting that may look odd on camera that you don't realize and that he is also cost conscious of actors. “I want to share things that could be better at Ivy Tech-not to hurt but to help! 1. A student should not have his/her grade still dropped after they have brought a doctor's note stating they had an important health matter to deal with. 2. People that review transcripts should thoroughly review EVERYTHING instead of looking over courses & forcing students to retake a course that can be already accepted as a transfer credit. 3. Professors really need to follow up with their own instructions. It's like the docs have been sitting there & they don't remember what is required. Due to this problem grading is done unjustly & highly affects the student’s gpa which professors want to be in high percentage in order to transfer to a university. Can't do that if people are being lazy at actual grading & making things up as they go because they are overwhelmed at how many students they have to grade at the last minute. I don't understand how they are allowed to procrastinate & then shame students for the very same thing. (In fact grading should be due on the day the assignment is due. Not when the midterm or final is due. I believe everyone should be held to the same standards, not just the students when it comes to time management. We don't get to have excuses if our hands are full.) I hope this all helps.”
