My tour guide, Phyllis, was a very nice lady who was very knowledgeable about our Hoosier poet. A number of times she recited some of his poetry which added to a very positive experience. “Loved our experience out here! My dad and I came out here years ago and enjoyed it when it was Pic-a-Spot, and now that we have been able to come again we're more than pleased! The service was great, the atmosphere was friendly and quiet. There is an ice cooler with bagged ice, and our firewood, at five dollars a wheelbarrow load, was bright to the campsite for us instead of us having to haul it. There is a playground of good size and location in the park, so I'd feel fine letting my niece walk there on her own. Best of all, they're pet-friendly for no extra charge!”
