Beautiful... the path goes all the way down to the lake..very relaxing.. looks like a great place to fish..
The Overlook Park is one of my favorite short hikes at Clinton Lake. Do watch out for the snakes if you decide to go gallivanting through the grass on your way down the hill. If you're good on a bicycle I really recommend hitting the hill straight away, Strava says I hit 40mph on the way down; but I hope you got good brakes. Or you'll end up in the marsh, which I'm sure isn't a bad place to crash but I don't recommend that at 40mph.
Great place to sit and watch the lake, or take a stroll if you want. Very peaceful. Well kept area with picnic tables nearby.
Clinton Lake Park is a marvelous multi use park and lake. There a great view from the overlook area, and it's a marvelous picnic area as well. This is in the federal (corps) area, so there's no entry fee. The state oak area does require a day or annual pass.
Lots of mountain bike trails in the area. Great view of Clinton Lake from the park and from Sanders Mound if you take a quarter mile hike. There are some very interesting bee nests at the Overlook parking area as well.
