  This campground is not in a pretty setting, but we had a great time. Staff is responsive to questions and issues. All is clean. Nice store, great laundry. 6 washers and dryers meant I never had to wait my turn. Friends visited us and stayed in one of that cabins which was clean and had everything they needed. Good sized dog run. Your dog can actually run! We took the RV away for a day for service, left a bunch of stuff there and no one bothered it.

  I would say this is an average KOA.. not bad and not great. On the plus side the tent area has nice grass and the site are well spaced so you are not cramped. The desk personnel were very nice. The bathroom was clean but a bit dated. If in the area i would return :)

  The campground is tidy and the basics are well-maintained. Things like stain and paint are little on the rough side; but the cabins are a delight. Staff is helpful and friendly. The location makes this a perfect place to stay while exploring Lawrence.

  KS City W. Is a fine KOA. we used to think state and federal parks were the way to go. However for I- state travel KOA' s are absolutely the way to go. High standards are what we get. Always polite with stores for supplies and convenience. We have never been denied a change of spots if we wanted since some times we want to rest for a few days. KS City W. is top notch. Stayed there many times.
