He also met my mom, his future wife, Mildred, during their undergrad years at Balker. He recalled that time fondly during his ministry, and when my parents died in the early 1990's, we respected their wishes for their funerals to be at Ives Chapel, and burial in Baldwin City's cemetery. Ives Chapel, Baker University, and Baldwin City hold a special place in my family's memories.”
