  Joined more than 6 months ago! It's an awesome experience where you practically get every day personal training for the price of a gym. Every day there's a new balanced workout that has a boxing/kickboxing flavor making sure it's not boring/tedious! Totally recommend it to people that don't like to think/have to get creative themselves and rather just have a personal trainer tell them what to do when and how.

  Stacey and David are the #1 reason I go to 9Round in Lenexa! They are personable, fun, motivating and really get to know their members. The #2 reason is the workouts - it is a good, intense 30 minute workout. It is hard to find time to go to the gym but knowing that I get an excellent workout in 30 minutes is what keeps me going.

  I have been at 9 Rounds Lenexa for a little over 6 weeks participating in a 6 week Challenge. I would like to give both a quick and a full review. In short:
  
  "They are great! The people, the facility, the workouts, and trainers are top notch. Give them a shot you will not regret it!"
  
  To be more specific; the facility is very well maintained. The floors and equipment are constantly cleaned throughout the day. Trainers will even run over and clean them after the person before you finishes up. For there to be hundreds of sweaty people exercising it has never, during my time here, had a bad smell. All the equipment is in working order minus the handwrap-wrapper, which I loved and am.waiting for it to be rehung.lol
  
  The trainers are all knowledgeable and seem to genuinely love what they are doing. I personally did not take full advantage of the person trainer aspect. This was completely by choice, I prefer to be left alone for the most part to knock out my workout. If I was caught slacking or not doing a workout correctly, which was normally not the case, a trainer was readily available to provide guidance. However, I did observe the trainer spending ample time with others on an as needed basis. So if you are athletic and just want the benefit of having your workouts crafted, or if you are a novice and need step by step instructions; they have you covered.
  
  The daily workouts are wonderfully and thoughtfully crafted to inflict maximum torture, I mean benefit. In and of themselves the workouts are tough, but ultimately you will get out what you put in. If you give your all each round and follow their game plan for successss you get results.
  
  I've talked about the facility, the trainers, and the workouts. I wanted to be sure and include in my review some negatives about my experience. Initially I thought to list the cost as a negative. Then I researched how much a single personal training session cost. For the cost of just 1 or 2 sessions you get 26+ a month. Not to mention the cost you would pay for a facility. Then I thought the hours are problematic since they close from 1:30-3:30 daily. The hours were never an issue for me. In my honest opinion the only real complaint I can lodge is their calling certain kicks Front or Side kicks when they are not actual Mae or Yoko Geri's, but that's just the Kenpo Shodan in me. Their kicks are still a valuable addition to your workout.

  Give them a shot, I did and lost just under 30 pounds in 6 weeks. I feel better than I've felt in years. Join the transformation!!!!

  I responded to an ad for a 6 week challenge and was not disappointed. I was a given a meal plan to follow but still allowed me to pick the foods I liked within a list of foods in the meal plan. The workouts are 30 minutes long so they are easy to fit into a busy schedule as there are no set times. You can come in when you want during open hours.
  I was very out of shape and had lots of bad eating habits. I was able to easily follow the meal plans and the workouts were tough, but not impossible. Really felt accomplishment after each workout and it was only 30 minutes. I lost 25 lbs in that 6 weeks and am continuing to workout there to reach more of my goals. The owners Stacey and David are very friendly and helpful in helping you achieve your goals as well as the other trainers that work there. Very positive place and lots of encouragement from trainers as well as other members.
