  Such a great place, full of wonderful volunteers and special cats & dogs. They get good care here, just waiting, and hoping to get OUT of there! Besides adoptions, they offer veterinarian services. Like its name, great (place) Plains.

  Couldn’t have been a better experience. Hubby and I got our baby April (cat) here a week ago. She is the most precious thing and we both love her so much. She is loving and amazing. As for GPSPCA they were so patient. Tom, in kitties, was so thoughtful and willing to answer any and all questions. It was clear he loved these amazing creatures. So grateful for everyone there because they gave us our sweet little baby!

  There for the cats!! We have two already, but we'd be excited to have a third if we found a good match. As a cat fan, this is by far the most enjoyable shelter experience I've ever had. The cat rooms provide a great opportunity to see how the cats interact with each other and allow you to interact with them in a free roaming environment. There is a dog room with a few free roaming, but most of them require staff participation to more directly interact. Some of the staff leave a bit to be desired at times in their customer service interactions, but I would guess that's an understandable reaction to the sometimes discouraging business of successfully placing animals in loving, respectful homes.

  The staff there is wonderful. And the place is very clean. You can tell that the animals are well cared for. My two dogs escaped last year and were picked up and taken there. When I went to pick them up, my dogs were in a good sized room together. They were given blankets to lay on,toys to play with, were given food and treats and even taken out for walks. This is is a no kill shelter If you are looking to adopt a dog or cat, this is the place to go.

  An amazing experience. The best animal rescue I have ever visited. Clean and so many animal loving volunteers and employees.I adopted a male cat here named Kyle. He is quite the character. Likes to high five me as a hello, I am hungry...He was 14 months old a silver tabby at the time of adoption. He has all his claws and uses the same area to claw near our sofa. So cats with claws are not so destructive as I once thought. We love our baby K.
