  Dr. Miles is both a caring and understanding Psychologist. She is able to put me at ease even while discussing complicated and difficult situations. Her sessions are thorough and she is often available between sessions. I highly recommend Dr. Miles for anyone looking for a psychotherapist.

  I have tried multiple therapists over the years, but working with Dr. Miles was the first time I actually felt comfortable enough to make real progress. I worked with her weekly for over a year and am much better for it. I don't see her regularly now, having gotten a handle on the more acute issues I was facing, but will definitely make an appointment with her in the future, should the need arise.
  
  I would definitely recommend to anyone, at least setting up an interview appointment to see if she would be a good fit for you.

  Dr. Rebecca Miles is an excellent Psychologist!! My husband and I had moved to Lenexa, we were both severely disabled and struggling with trying to adjust to all of our major life changes. My husband had to medically retire, due to a major health issue, with Legal Blindness being his Presenting Symptom. I was forced into retirement, due to my own disabilities, only about a year, before moving to the area. After much research and interviewing various Psychologists, I chose to see Dr. Miles. I began seeing her, twice per week, about 18 months, ago. At the time which I began seeing her, my husband was seeing another Psychologist. He began saying that he wished that he too had a down-to-earth, compassionate Psychologist as was mine, who truly listened to what he was saying - both verbally and non-verbally. As a retired Psychotherapist, myself, I urged him to see a Therapist where he felt most comfortable and where he felt 'heard'. So he decided to begin seeing her. After one session, he said it was the most comfortable and productive Session, which he had ever had!! She always showed much compassion, she was always so cognizant of our disabilities and did her best to make sure that we were both physically comfortable. My husband was thankfully able to see her for about one year, before he died unexpectedly, this past July. In hindsight, I realize that she helped us both to grow, to be more emotionally happy as both individuals, as well as a couple. Due to our disabilities, we would become irritable at times and disagree with his other. We began seeing her for Couple's Counseling. She helped us to have healthier communications and as a result, we were able to understand each other better and to have more fun together, in what turned out to be my husband's last months of his life. My husband passed away about 6:00 a.m. Dr. Miles was one of my first calls - I didn't even hesitate to call her emergency line, that early in the morning! As I said, my husband's death was unexpected. He was the love of my life - my one true Soul Mate. His death hit me hard and I lost my will to live. To make it even more shocking, my dad died ten days later....I could barely hang on. She was a true blessing, during this time! She increased my weekly Sessions, to help me to endure the sudden shock and grief. I had many major decisions to be made, in a short time frame. I was able to make my husband's final preparations and get through the Service. She helped me to get through my father's funeral. I could no longer afford my apartment, nor care for myself. I was unable to live alone - although I'm only 59 years old...Dr. Miles helped me to weigh the pros and cons of where to live. I finally decided that it was in my best interests to move to Colorado - ten hours away, to live with my sister. As a major part of my decision making was the big question of whether I could survive leaving Dr. Miles, as being my Psychologist. It was the hardest part of my decision making. But she helped me to see that it would be in my best interest to make the move, even though it was a really bad time to leave my Therapist. She helped me with the transition and we've stayed in touch, because she doesn't want me to feel even more alone. I have a first appointment with a new Psychologist, here in Colorado, next week. I doubt that I'll ever find another Therapist, like Dr. Miles. She literally gave my husband and I the chance at more joy together, before his sudden death. She also saved my life and I'll be eternally grateful for all that she did for us and finally for me. I know this is long, but I wanted to publicly express my full gratitude. If you need to see a truly professional Therapist, I would highly recommend Dr. Rebecca Miles. She is an excellent Psychologist and a wonderful human being.
