(October 19, 2018, 3:48 pm)Was at a shelter. They had a petting zoo and bbq. Live music that I enjoyed. There was a playground. Everything was fairly nice. Check it out!

(August 31, 2018, 12:28 am)Swings are way too high for small children to reach by themselves. It was a hot day and much of the equipment was too hot to be used. It is a shady area and does have several different kinds of equipment for various activities. The drinking fountain worked! Definitely seems secluded because of all the trees and location, but that makes it cooler than some playgrounds that are out in the sun with no surrounding trees.

Reservations should be made by phone at 913-895-6390 or in person off at the Matt Ross Community Center, 8101 Marty Street. A $5.00 permit fee will be charged for each permit. * Tomahawk Ridge is available for rental, Memorial Day to Labor Day only.
