  ** (Update 12/31/2018) I called first thing on Sunday, and explained that I still had a leak. I was put on the schedule for Monday. Shane (who was the original serviceman dispatched) arrived on time. He apologized for the sub-par service I had experienced, and let me know that he was going to stay until the problem was fixed. He made the appropriate repairs, all in a timely fashion, and cleaned up. I wasn't charged anything additional. I am happy that he came out and got the job done, and didn't serve me any patronizing story. A-1 will continue to be our first-call plumbing service in KC. **
  *(Update 12/29/18) I'm disappointed. After years of reliable service, we had our first let down. Called on Thursday night after 5:30pm, and Shane was dispatched within 30 minutes to take a look at a leak under our kitchen sink. He did not seem confident to fix the issue without all the proper stuff, including replacing a PVC fixture with a Shark Bite. Recommended that I buy the pieces myself, to save a little money, and have the serviceman scheduled to come the next day. James came the next day and seemed very inconvenienced that Shane did not simply put more tape on the joint and call the case closed. James was at the house all of twenty minutes, taped the joint, and billed me for a full service visit (after I had already paid the night before for Shane to make no repair.) I told him that I had the pieces Shane recommended me to buy, and I thought I would have the piece replaced. He said that it wasn't that big of a deal, and that all it needed was tape. Well, I still have a leak and I'll be calling tomorrow to request they come and fix the issue. I'll update after my call.*
  
  This is the third time we've called A-1 for service since my husband and I purchased our first home in 2014. We have, and continue to experience, exceptional service from the entire A-1 team. Justin came out after 6pm on a Friday, to address a slow-draining shower drain. He was terrific! Very professional, listened to my concerns, and even offered to stay and listen to another drain issue that wasn't on the original ticket. If you want a local, really-does-care, won't overcharge, and will do whatever it takes to get the job done RIGHT, do not hesitate to call A-1.

  Such a great experience! My dishwasher, kitchen sink, toilet, and tub all backed up and I needed my main line cleaned today - I called A-1 first thing this morning and they arrived just a couple hours later and were done in no time. The technician was quick, thorough and didn't try and up-sell me which I honestly anticipated after hearing stories from friends dealing with other companies. Hopefully I don't have to use them soon, but if so I will definitely be calling them!

  Tim from A-1 was professional from start to finish. He answered any and all questions that we had. He completed the job in a timely fashion. He was also friendly and pleasant to talk to. Thank you Tim from A-1.

  I called A-1 to clear a severe clog in my toilet. From the first call I found everyone to be polite and professional. The office called me when they were on their way. The technician arrived on time and had my problem solved in a very short time. He was polite and efficient, and left everything clean and working well. The cost was very reasonable and exactly what they quoted me on the phone. I really appreciate that there was no pressure to give me a "free" inspection to find more problems or up sell services I did not ask for, as many companies seem to do now. I would not hesitate to call A-1 again or recommend them.
