Very nice, clean, friendly restaurant. Love everything about it. Had the Tijuana burger, comes with crinkle cut fries, so good. The girlfriend had the veggie omelette and it was LOADED with veggies, comes with crispy has browns and buttered toast. Iced tea was light in color and freshly made. Staff were wonderful too.
I generally have breakfast when I go to Auntie C's but decided on the meatloaf. It was very juicy, good texture, decent portion. The only negative was it really wasnt seasoned, taster very basic. Nothing a little cholula added to the gravy couldnt fix. With as well flavored as thier chicken fried steak is I was a bit disappointed. My girl had the frito pie and cinnamon roll which looked amazing and she swears it was lol. I give them 4 not 5 really just because it is such a crowded place and the wait times are often long. If they had more room or expanded, it would be a top 20.
The only problems with this hidden gem are mostly related to real estate. They need more space... for the entryway, seating for customers, even parking for cars... imho of course. Seating is also somewhat messy... a small, customer-managed whiteboard that you write the party count and party name. They closed at 2pm the Sunday I came in, so check the hours before you lock the choice in.
That all said, everything else is pretty dreamy.
Food is glorious.
Staff is engaging and work very fast -- with pride and professionalism in that southern way locals expect and surely celebrate.
Food variety is impressive.
Pricing is also very fair.
I was just passing through but saw the rating and reviews... on those strengths I made time to stop. I'm very glad I did. Thank you Kenz.
We stop here for breakfast every time we have an event at Hartman Arena. I'm so glad we found this place. It's a true hidden gem.
I visited once (a few years ago, prior to moving here) and was very impressed! I forgot their name and recently found them again once moving. I went there this morning with the family and they were packed, but still seated us very quickly! The food was very reasonably priced, excellent portions, and it came out quickly! I would recommend this restaurant to everyone!
