  I like to think of The Monarch as the Iconic Heart of Wichita's Delano District. Situated on a roundabout it is impossible not to be drawn in by the inviting patio and delicious smells as you drive past.
  There is ample parking on the street or in the lot behind the restaurant itself and 2 entries for customer convenience. The patio is perfect for people-watching and a little sunshine while you eat or refresh yourself with one of many signature cocktails or local brews.
  The name Monarch is very fitting as it seems that the restaurant is ever evolving, transforming into something new and exciting without losing the comfort of it's originality. The inside atmosphere provides a range of seating options from bar to booth and high-top tables to suit all comfort levels and is adorned with unique pieces that intrigue diners as they dine without the hokey flair of some chain establishments.
  In each of my memorable experiences at The Monarch, the staff have been attentive, knowledgeable and courteous without being overly supplicant, I've always felt that I'm speaking with a friend who invited me over to dinner rather than a 'customer'.
  There are a myriad of choices for dining in Wichita but the Monarch is in my top 3 for a very good reason. Take a visit for yourself and find out!

  I rarely travel to Wichita and when I have, it's been a real "less than" experience; this trip was very different, as I was there for 5 days on business and needed some great hangs. I travel a ton and a real locavore, so when I am in a spot for several days, I want to know where the locals hang... the Monarch didn't disappoint. In fact, I asked many locals where to eat for the week, and the Monarch was probably the most frequently mentioned.
  
  The menu is small but very well constructed with some very unique and delicious takes on food, using locally sourced suppliers. Their cocktail list is so interesting and unique that I had to try several (usually just a straight spirits drinker); I strongly recommend their take on an Old Fashioned and their Smoked Bourbon (this was a real surprise... Old Forrester I believe).
  
  Finally, the staff were awesome... both nights I was able to make it, Sadie waited on me - she was very friendly, helpful, and entertaining. Thanks, Sadie!

  One of my favorite restaurants in Delano. Plenty of parking, always super quick service and they have a delicious and unique menu. My favorite item to get there is the sweet potato tots. So delicious and I don't know where else you can get them honestly. Love the monarch!

  The Monarchis by far one of my favorite places in town. Cozy atmosphere, excellent drink selection, fantastic food, and very friendly staff. Their monthly Tasting Table events sell out very quickly but are highly recommended! The Monarch is a staple of the Delano District. You won't regret trying it!

  Great first impression. I was welcomed by friendly staff although it appears to be a city, perhaps even statewide statement.
  
  The restroom were clean and not malodorous.
  
  The entire inside features original art pieces of various nature. Moreover, very nice bar countertop and industrial looking tables.
  
  Sometimes, the simplest flavours are the best: I had the Running Dove Reuben with sweet potato tots. Fantastic.
  
  I was delighted to observe they feature a nice whiskey collection including one of my favourite, Nikka Coffey Malt.
