Went to see Dr. Ashby 12 weeks ago with a tremendous amount of hip pain. Had been in pain for about 5 months. Had a full hip replacement 6 weeks ago and am almost 100%.
Can’t say enough good things about the Dr. and his nurses. Amazing people. Thank you for giving me my life back.

It’s been 5weeks since my total knee replacement by Dr. Ashby. His expertise, skill, communication, and overall patience with all my questions made the surgery a success. His wonderful staff , especially Erika, zipped me through all necessary paper work . They were always there if I had a question or concern. His team of physical therapists at the St. Teresa campus pushed me up the hill of recovery & I have met all goals they set for me. Thank you all for guiding my through & pushing me forward.

My total knee replacement performed by Dr. Samuel Ashby was a positive experience with a successful outcome.

Dr. Ashby's staff was pleasant and helpful. They were attentive to the pre-op details including submitting all the required paperwork for my insurance and employer. His staff were quick to respond to my questions and ensured that I was informed and prepared for my surgery.

The attentiveness of Dr. Ashby and his staff continued following the surgery. I truly feel their sincerity for my well being was genuine.

After three years of right hip arthritis I finely decided to have it taken care of. I already tried the normal of routines of Physical Therapy, gentle stretching, and drugs, all to no benefit. I also researched Stem Cell injections in hopes to find a non-surgical solution, but I found that there were no clinical studies to authenticate Stem Cell relief claims, none.

I was referred to Dr. Samuel Ashby D.O., Orthopedic Surgery of Ascension Medical Group, by my family physician. With X-Rays and CAT Scans I visited with Dr. Ashby twice before we scheduled surgery. On each visit I felt very comfortable visiting with him. Dr. Ashby listened to my history and my hopes for recovery and told me what I could expect from an Anterior Hip Replacement.

Shortly after surgery I was walking, with a walker, but with no pain. In ten days, I was off the walker and using a cane. Ten days later I did not need the cane. Yes, the muscles were tight in the quads, however they improved daily and I am back to most all activities I once enjoyed in just six weeks.

Maybe I am a unique 70th year old male, but Dr. Ashby sure resolved my hip problem quickly and mostly pain free. I believe the worst part was my own mental concerns, which Dr. Ashby And the Kansas Surgery and Recovery Center staff answered thoroughly.

If you need hip replacement, I highly recommend Dr. Ashby and his staff and the Kansas Surgery and Recovery Center.

Love Love Love the experience of a knee replacement by Dr Ashby! He takes the time to visit with you and answer all questions you might have. His staff is wonderful as well. You are encouraged to call with any questions and everyone was so helpful. Dr Ashby goes over your options and does not push you toward surgery. You discuss the options with him and decide what you feel will be best for you. He followed up with my family after surgery and came by my recovery room both mornings to check on my condition. My therapists highly recommend Dr Ashby as well. My recovery has been fantastic and the incision is hardly noticeable.
If you are having knee issues ir looking for the right doctor to do your knee replacement Dr Ashby is the one to see! He will do my other knee when the time comes. I know that I can continue to call his staff for help or questions. This truly has been a wonderful experience. I was fortunate to not have to wait months but was scheduled within weeks. We are so lucky Dr Ashby chose to join us in Wichita, KS.
