Beautiful distanced view of the city from a historical spot! Appears there used to be events held here, but likely not anymore, as the place isn't that well taken care of. Lots of trash here when I went, and no caretakers in sight. If this place had someone on duty all the time, this could be a very informational and fun side trip. I feel like it used to be at one point.
Great views of downtown Kansas city. Sits right on the river. There is a boat ramp and adequate parking. There is a small walking trail.
I love this park! I love the historical nature, and this park is a very well done tribute to Lewis and Clark. I also love the tribute to the Native Americans. The park has a great view of the city skyline - which is why I chose to have family pictures done there a few years ago.
This is a beautiful park and marks the confluence of the Missouri and Kansas Rivers. While I was there, a mole burrowed out of the ground right beside me and tried to dig a new hole into my boot! It is also where Lewis and Clark made camp with their party during their trip west in 1804. I learned a lot here although now you must go through an industrial park to get to the Lewis and Clark park.
Rich with history. Kinda small. Well kept. Glad our group had a guided tour. Beautiful view of the river. Bathroom availability: porta potty in parking lot, bathrooms unlocked for special events.
