My wife and I absolutely love this place! We are so happy to see him open up for To-Go orders after everything that's been going on.
Excellent food and service. Stopped in for my first time and was greeted immediately being explained what the most popular dishes were before I even asked! They have images posted above their bar of everything they serve so you have a visual if unsure of what something is. This is a VERY small place, even seating for 2 can be tough. There are no tables, only bar top style seating.
I went with one of their popular dishes being the Enchiladas Casserole which comes with rice and refried beans. Instead of your typical rolled tortilla, they use round corn tortillas and stack everything straight up, and top it with an egg cooked anyway you like. Alongside every dish they serve their own homemade hot sauce, which may not look appealing, but is great! Some sort of mixture of dried chilies and garlic.
Overall great experience, will definitely be back to try more!
The Food is Absolutely Amazing!!! Had it for the first time today and Myself and My Husband are Now Loyal Customers From Here on out!!! The Service is Excellent!!! This is Authentic At It's Finest!!! This is the Enchilada Casserole Dish!!! I ordered the Guacamole on the side, It was All Perfect!!!
I saw it as I drove by on my way to get traditional Kansas City bbq. I just felt like I had to stop at GGS, the menu options on the front sounded delicious. The service was fantastic and the staff were very friendly. There were lots of dishes all with pictures. The dishes we ordered came out looking exactly like the pictures, good presentation. The food was absolutely amazing, it’s authentic, not choking in cheese and drowning in sauce. Their black beans will make you rethink what a black bean is. I can’t really stress enough how much I enjoyed the food. On top of all that, this is a small local business owned by a husband and wife team. So support the local business in kc, and eat some amazing food at the same time.
This place is fabulous! I almost don't want to share about it to keep it a hidden gem. There are only 15 seats or so in the entire place, so it fills up quickly. The food was great and the owner did a nice job of explaining what was most popular. We tried the chilaquiles w. brisket and enchilada casserole, both were delicious. My youngest had a more traditional American breakfast, but even it looked great. Broadway Roasting Co. coffee too!
