(January 13, 2019, 11:43 pm)I am a firm believer that it's not the hospital but the staff that makes a patient's experience memorable one way or the other. The doctors and nurses in the Emergency Department who took care of me when I broke my ankle a few days ago were truly incredible. Two particular nurses made my experience sooo much easier. Brent and Tori are both nurses in the ED and they both went out of their way to keep me calm and relaxed. Brent spent a couple hours talking with me about his nursing school days (as I had just applied to nursing programs), and all about his family. He didn't even flinch when I grabbed his hand once the Dr started reducing my breaks. He stood there with me and told me stories to keep my mind off of the pain. I can honestly say that I hope I am able to help people the way he helped me through that miserably painful experience. Providence is lucky to have both of these wonderful nurses on their staff!
