  I have long thick hair, and I hadn't had a professional cut my hair for over three years, I decided I'd had enough of cutting my own hair and called Shear Impression. Amy Marvels-("Ms. Marvelous" is my name for her now) answered my call and we agreed the following day.
  At my appointment time, Amy was all smiles and ready to go until she took the clip out of my hair, she looked, ran her hands through my hair and said, "wow you've got A LOT of hair" and "what do you want to do with it".
  I told her that she's the pro and to do whatever, "beautify me"! "Ms Marvelous" got busy cutting, coloring and highlighting,and when she was done, my hair looked great. She layered my hair which took so much weight off and I love love love it!!!!!!!!

  I went to see Ms. Marvelous, just for a trim this time. After she finished cutting, she did a quick blow-dry for me because I was headed to the grocery store. In the 30-40 mins I was in the store, I had two different people compliment me on my hair. One said "you have pretty hair, and the other said "your hair looks so healthy"....Amy if you're reading this...Thanks See ya

  Today was a rainy kind of day, but had things to do so I curled the ends of my hair, and out the door I to get nails done..
  At any rate, after my nails were done, the lady who did them said, "you have very pretty hair, can I touch it"..I had to laugh. When I'm told, "pretty hair" the thought "Damn, Amy is good"

  I needed a new style, I'm pretty easy going so, I went in and said " I'm in your hands.
  It was a beautiful haircut, she did Great. I got home & my husband said " oh Marcia, that's great, you have such a beautiful face & now I can see it, I wondered why you always wanted the styles that cover it up. This is great ."
  Hey, she did more in that 20 then I did in yrs. for our relationship ????????????????????????????????????????

  I am a stylist at Shear Impressions. I would like to take this opportunity to address any negative reviews. Our salon policy is to always put the satisfaction of our customer first. Our owner and stylists welcome feedback from everyone who receives services, be they positive or negative. To address previous reviews that were negative we would like to say that our shop does have a lock in use on the door. This is for the protection of stylists when working alone or late. We apologize if anyone has had issues with being let in but would like to inform future guests that there is a buzzer to alert us to your presence. Shear Impressions is a hair salon that does offer nail services. Our current pricing for a regular polish manicure is $15. We inform all guests of prices before services are started. As the only nail tech available, I can assure you I never serviced the previous reviewer and she has us mistaken with another salon. Our owner is very accommodating and forthright and to my knowledge would try her best to insure client satisfaction. Thanks to all of our reviews, they are a vital part of our continued growth as a salon serving Kansas City for the past 37 years.
