  We stepped outside of our comfort zone and decided to take dance lessons. Although it's ballroom style, Karen and Bree tailor the lessons to the kind of dance we mostly do, which is at bars, conventions and fraternal halls. We have learned the basics of several dances and, as we gain skill level and confidence, we add fancier moves. In addition to dance skills, we have gained a whole new set of friends. We so enjoy group lessons, parties and outings. If you would have told us a year ago (well, mostly my husband, not me) that we would actually look forward to attending dance classes, we would've laughed. But now, it's a highlight of our week. It's been an awesome experience for us. We would definitely recommend The Ritz to anyone looking to take lessons--whether for a special event or just to learn a new skill. You will not be disappointed!

  My fiancé and I started dancing at the Ritz in September of 2017. He got me an introductory lesson as a present for my birthday. After just the first lesson, we were hooked! Dancing at the Ritz has been so much fun and given us a hobby that we both love to do. Not only is the dancing fun on its own but we have become friends with many people and it truly is a family atmosphere because everybody is so welcoming from the start! The teachers are amazing and provide great feedback. There are a variety of ages and levels, so the teachers work to target it to anybody and everybody! And don’t worry, you don’t need a partner either, so don’t let that steer you away!
  Overall, It’s amazing to see how much we have grown since starting, we were able to participate in a showcase the studio held last summer and now we are preparing for our first dance for our wedding (which is not why we originally started or stayed), but we plan to continue learning different dancing even after the wedding. It’s a great feeling to see our growth. At the start we did not know how to dance the basics and now being able to dance a variety of dances for the whole song, just based on the steps we’ve learned in private lessons and group lessons!
  
  We highly recommend taking a chance and trying ballroom dance at the Ritz! We were definitely unsure before our first class, but was better than we could have imagined!

  I started taking dance lessons at The Ritz about 1 1/2 years ago. After my first group lesson I was wondering what I had gotten myself into, but Bree and Karen were patient and continued to encourage and work with me. Bree and Karen are like family now and The Ritz feels like a second home.

  A very informative and friendly place to learn how to dance. I have been with them for 2 years, and I have learned so much. They are very patient and encouraging to their students. One of the main reasons I enjoy taking lessons at The Ritz is the fun I have with amazing people of all ages. (For your information - you do not need a partner.)

  They were AMAZING in helping us get ready for our wedding dance! Such great teachers and they really work with you as an individual couple. They really seem to care. We had planned a session days before or wedding and when an emergency came up the night of our appointment, they were so flexible and accommodating. HIGHLY recommend them!
