“I volunteered at a cat spay & neuter clinic. Amy runs the Estill County Animal Control and she is so hard working. She had her children there working with all of us and everyone worked so well together. There was a team of amazing women from Woodstock Animal Foundation near Louisville - the vet and vet techs - volunteers. Our Estill County Judge D Watson came to visit and brought us all lunch (- I was told he does this every time there is a clinic). He spent time speaking to each volunteer, then he personally thanked each volunteer and quietly praised Amy for the good job she is doing. I was glad that Estill County had a representative who was actually involved in the clinic on a personal basis. He spoke about our need for a new building - he was correct by the way because the Estill County Animal Control building is not in great shape, it's very rustic. I really enjoyed the day, wished I could have done more and I know I'm going back there to volunteer again.
