Where do I begin? After coming from an awful daycare situation, The Goddard School was a breath of fresh air. My son started at about 15 months old in Ms. Ashley and Ms. Casey’s room. Within a week of him being there he was using more signs, walking more and his overall behavior changed in a positive way. It got to the point that he would cry when he would leave them.

After that he moved up to Ms. Kenya’s class (18 months) then to Ms. Shawn’s (2.5 years). Both were amazing with him. They brought him out of his shell and helped him learn colors, shapes, numbers and even potty training! Without me probing, he one day started using a potty and there was nothing for me to do! Ms. Shawn handled everything. As a full time working mom it was nothing short of a miracle to me! Every morning I would drop him off and the two of them would talk about baseball and sports. I loved knowing that he was being handed over to a loving team. He would always surprise me with things he was learning and tell me all the things Ms. Shawn taught him.

After those classes he went up to the 3’s room with Ms. Sylvia. There is where he really thrived. Ms. Sylvia was great with him. She treated him like he was family. He started developing more friendships in this class, learned about different topics, started trying to help out with little tasks at home, started playing teacher at home, completed art and even started working on letters in a composition book. One day I picked him up and he was so excited to show me his book where he had been working on lines and letters. And he loved showing me how many stickers he got that day for being helpful. It was again, reassuring knowing that he was in the right place for him. He even told me that Ms. Sylvia was his favorite teacher. If Ms. Sylvia ever had any concerns with him, she would talk to me about them and we would brainstorm the best solution for him. If I ever had any concerns or if he needed any special assistance, she was receptive to my requests and would always follow up with progress.

All in all this facility functions more like a school, with teachers who care about their students educational growth and emotional development. This school cares for your child like they are family, from the Directors down to the teachers. I never had any concerns for my son’s safety or education. Everything was within his age limit and every person employed there was friendly and caring to the children. We unfortunately had to leave due to my husbands job moving and have not been able to find anything quite as good as The Goddard School. We would go back in a heartbeat! Thank you for caring for my child for the 2 years he was there and for setting the bar so high!

The Goddard Lakeridge is a wonderful school and daycare provider. My family had previous experience with the Goddard brand in another state and this facility exceeded our expectations. They are patient and loving with our child and I love how all the teachers and the administration are familiar with my child's needs. My child has absolutely made academic developments in the time here. The teachers are kind, loving, and hardworking . Any issues or questions have always been addressed completely. The integrity and the hearts of the teachers have been reflected even more during this pandemic by making the effort to stay connected virtually and that is truly appreciated !!!!

I have been a parent at the Goddard School in Lake Ridge for about a year now. My husband and I moved to the area and prior to coming we called several preschools. We received very professional and warm conversation with the director and the owner regarding all the questions we had. Believe me we had a lot, based on all the horror stories you hear about in the media, Goddard in Lake Ridge by far surpasses any negative feedback from our experience. Once we arrived, they guided us through the school showing us the classes before and beyond our interest. Fast forward to current day, their teachers are tenured and give not only love and care but provide awesome learning. Our children know not only know their classroom teachers but the other teachers as well. They know their class routines and come home talking about their teachers and what I see on their daily reports. It's comforting to know my children are in good hands. If you are looking for a preschool for your children I recommend Goddard in Lake Ridge any day, any time.

I currently and actively have 3 children who attend this center. We have had nothing but a great experience will all the staff including management who are easy to reach at all times. They also take care of any questions promptly and believe me with three children I have a ton of questions to ask. It is very surprising to see some "have not" had the same experience but it seems to be a trend that follows some.... the similarities are interesting that I have found.
