El Mejor

I asked the server to make it as spicy as possible because I've found in the state of Kentucky true heat is non-existent. The cook did not disappoint. It was actually decently spicy and full of flavor. I highly recommend this place for Mexican food. Prices are fair and it was very neat and tidy. Worth a try!!!

I was born and raised in Los Angeles, and have traveled across the Country for decades.
I won a Cinco De Mayo Salsa Contest with dozens of top notch contestants. I know Mexican food. And I love this restuarant. The atmosphere is primo, as is the food and service. I travel out of my way, to this restaurant, knowing I will never be disappointed. The decor and music compliments the finest Mexican food, I can find. I reside a couple thousand miles away from Richmond, Ky. But, when I am able to dine in Richmond, I always head for this place. Just like L.A., San Antonio, and Albuquerque has great Mexican places to dine out in real Mexican Atmosphere so does Richmond, Kentucky. It's called "El Mejor". But, before you enter, and order your meal, be sure to take a few steps into the Mall, and check out "Wild Huckelberry", where you can dress to impress, for less than you might guess. Sabor a MI.

I loved the fact that they played Mexican music! I love the original feeling of feeling like we walked into Mexico 🇲🇽 not many restaurants are so authentic but this 1 is! Thanks for the great experience! I loved it! Food is good, service is good, they actually check on you! I was impressed. We will definitely be back for the buffet next time! We didn't make it in time but that's okay, gives us something to look forward to next time! Thanks!

Wow, what a great place. 1st off, the chips are fresh and hot and amazing. It was a great start. Now the food was even better. Burrito Loco and chicken faitias were soo delicious and the bot plate is really hot! Watch out to not get burned, but this Mexican food was really good. Try it!

This is the best Mexican restaurant in town. Me and my galfriends always go here! Now I will warn you, if you get a margarita you’ll have to drink a water before you leave! But the food is great and the drinks are strong! 10/10 every time!
