And I feel like the batter / coating on the cod was fresh/homemade. Breading is almost a cornmeal kind of flavor, definitely not a beer batter or tempura (just so you know) The fries were nothing spectacular and could use some sort of seasoning. The shrimp were awesome! I loved them! The fresh slices of pie (quite a few choices) looked appetizing. Folks at the front counter weren't out to be your best friend, but certainly weren't rude, either. Just moving people through the ordering process. If I had to do it again, I would get shrimp a second time and likely try some catfish. That seems more likely to be local-caught there. Lots of people getting orders to-go while we ate, so I know that their food is good.”

“Went here for my son and daughter' s birthday celebration dinner. The wait was only about 20 mins and we were met with friendly staff upon arrival. The server looked to be handling quite a few tables so it was short conversation that didn't let you see their true personality. Once we were to dessert it had slowed down and we found the server funny and delightful. The appetizers were good size portions. The entrees were amazing. The dessert was DELICIOUS. I recommend the "Chocolate Dream". It seems the only negative was just the fact that there were not enough employees to meet the demand of customers and that is in my opinion not the fault of the restaurant or their staff. It's how it is in many businesses these days. I highly recommend you come and enjoy yourselves.”
