“they saved my kitten from being put down by other vets! My little kitten diagnosed with feline luekemia got very sick and was dropping weight quickly. She refused to eat and was coughing non stop. She littles to chew on little plastic bags and crinkly things. I thought she had swallowed some kind of candy wrapper. I took her to 2 different vets. The last one told us we had to put her down and shamed us for not having another $1,500 after giving them $2,300 over the last 3 days for tests and over night stays, for an emergency surgery on something they said they couldn't even see. They could not see a wrapper in the x-ray or ultrasound. They wanted to do exploratory surgery. They told me she would die if they didn't. They told me I was giving her a death sentence and she wouldn't live another 3 days. I knew my baby girl and I followed my gut. Even though they pressured us in a tiny room for half an hour to either pay for the surgery or put her down. I was scared but refused. Said I was taking her home then. I took her home and reached out to social media. A local rescuer recommended Elk Creek. I called them immediately and they saw us the very next morning at 8 am. The wonderful Vet, he took a look at her and said it was a respiratory infection and gave her medicine and special food for a week. She is now 2 years old and healthy! I will never go to another vet as long as I'm in Kentucky! The ladies in the office were so kind and warm,I felt like I was home. Thank you all for saving my baby!!”

“This vet office is tucked away down a one lane street but there is good signage to let you know you are headed in the right direction. And the office itself is cute and cozy! First visit was as stress-free as it could be. The doctor is great, very friendly and personable! You can tell she loves animals and has a few "office staff" to prove it, like her sweet and friendly greeter cat 🐱. Pricing for services are great as well. Note that only cash or check is accepted as payment so be prepared and visits are by appointment only.”

“Dr Phillips is a very caring and compassionate vet. Very knowlegeable but realistic. Our boston had signs of cushings and he did the bloodwork to rule out other major things, after we decided the continual testing and expensive medications to manage such a condition were outside of our ability to maintain. She went on almost two years living comfortably well. When she suddenly worsened and developed a mean skin infection, again he tested the most economically feasable way to show her organ function. With that information put her on antibiotics and antiseptic shampoo. A week later when she was worsening and in visable pain we returned to have her euthanized. I know he hated to do it, but he was so kind and made her and me as comfortable as humanly possible. This was in stark contrast of experiences I have had with other vets on larger practices. I very strongly recommend Dr Phillips for your babies needs.”

“Very! Great! Veterinarian. Major my half rot half husky ate a rope and some plastic. Dr Stephanie was a God sent. She removed the rope and plastic. She made Major feel at home, she treated him as if he was family, me as well. Zack was there by Majors side to help the whole way, he took the time to thoroughly explain and answered all my questions and concerns. I would say they treated him/me like family. “We started going to Dr. Ashley Claunch and Dr. Nancy McGregor for a second opinion on one of our cats to get as much information and care for her as possible in a very difficult time and we loved them so much we stayed on as regular patients with all our cats. The staff and Doctors are compassionate, sweet, and personable. We've had some difficult cases with our cats but they are there each time to offer expert advice, information, and tender care in the worst of times. I would never expect a Doctor or Vet to call me after hours on her own time but Dr.McGregor did just that when one of my sweet but not so bright orange boys potentially swallowed a foreign body. They all go above and beyond and we see that and appreciate you all!”
