Rachel is very patient and kind in her work. She did an excellent job explaining to me and my daughter what was wrong and how to correct it. She made each visit fun and my daughter was excited to go to speech therapy each week. We are very appreciative for all that she did for my daughter. I would recommend her to anyone needing speech therapy services for their child.
Rachel has been nothing short of a godsend! Before we started seeing Rachel, my daughter's speech was more than two years behind her peers. After nine months she has improved enough that she is only a few months behind. We initially did speech therapy with the state and saw no improvement after six months, but within weeks of starting to work with Rachel, we were seeing major improvements. That alone makes Rachel valuable, but what makes her near priceless is how amazing she is with my willful, my-way-or-no-way daughter. Not only does Rachel go out of her way to work with Aubrey in settings and situations that work best with and for her, she has a seemingly endless supply of patience for a high-energy toddler’s short attention span. Our fierce girl might be one of the most difficult patients Rachel has ever had but I have never seen her be anything but patient, calm, and professional with Aubrey. I really can’t recommend Rachel highly enough. What she has been able to do for Aubrey, and her willingness to go above and beyond to make certain that our daughter gets the best care possible, makes her not only an amazing specialist but a very special person.
Rachel has been fantastic working with my daughter. She reads with more confidence, reads at a higher level and faster than before. She has improved her phonemic awareness, decoding skills, comprehension, fluency, etc. Her teachers have also noted the improvements and they are reflected in her vastly improved grades. Rachel has exceeded expectations by regularly reporting my daughter's progress to me, explaining her goals and milestones, and even corresponding and meeting with the teachers. She's the best and my daughter is excited to meet with her every week!
My son has worked with Rachel Guidry for the last several months. He enjoys his time with her, and his articulation has improved as a result. It is obvious that Rachel has a passion for what she does. I have been impressed with her knowledge and level of expertise. She is an excellent local resource!
