Awesome doctor. Give it a couple visits to build a rapport, you won't be disappointed. He's not a pill pusher -- he actively suggests various vitamins/neutraceuticals/lifestyle changes instead of piling on extra medications or higher doses. He knows his stuff, believe it.
I started seeing Dr. Fain after my therapist recommended me to him for medication management. He's kind of quirky but he's really good. He won't just pile medication on top of medication. I didn't want to just end up on a bunch of different medications so that really worked for me.
I called in right before the holidays to make a last minute appointment (Christmas is always high anxiety for me), and the office staff went out of their way to get me in and checked my insurance very quickly. I came into the office and met with Dr, Fain. He was great! He listened to everything I had to say and was very straight forward with me. He really knows his stuff when it comes to medications. I made it through Christmas (with the help of him and his staff), and will continue seeing him. Great doctor and great experience!
Going to see Dr. Thomas Fain was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I felt that I was in good hands from the get go. The office staff was very kind to me and went out of their way to make sure my insurance would cover my appointment before I ever came in. Then when I met with Dr. Fain it became clear that he has a lot of experience and really knows what he's talking about. It also shows that he really cares. I've been to a lot of doctors and psychiatrists over the years and they all would just write the script, hand it to me, and leave without really hearing my complaints or what was going on with me. I give Dr. Fain my 5 star approval. And this is coming from someone who has seen a ton of doctors! I definitely recommend him.
