Zachary Manor

My mother was cared for in the most loving and compassionate way at Zachary Manor for over 7 years. She had dementia, which this facility specializes in treating. Mom had many physical challenges, surgeries and infections. Her care and health was always a priority. She miraculously recovered each time with the expert staff and physical therapists. When she passed away the nursing staff was with her, along with the compassionate help of St Joseph Hospice in Baton Rouge. Thank God for everyone of her caregivers.

Very nice staff, my grandpa passed away just yesterday, while we were there visiting, and they were very compassionate to us and our guests. Hospice nurse, Dori, was extremely helpful and very sympathetic towards our family and friends. It was like she was a close friend of the family herself.
As far as the facility, it's very clean, the outside is nicely landscaped with flowers, greenery, etc. The only thing I didn't care for was the patient room bathrooms are joined to next room. Thought that was kind of strange. My grandpa was very ill, he had declined rapidly during a short period, so, I definitely would NOT hold the facility responsible. They took care of him in his last days, and I think they did a good job.
Thanks to the staff and nurses there, and of course, the hospice nurse, Dori (I didn't get her last name), and to all of those who treated my kin with the utmost respect. It will not be forgotten.
