In 1987 he united with New Canaan Baptist Church to work with Men's Discipleship and the Adult Sunday school, under Pastor Terry D. Streeter. A native Washingtonian, Minister Ellen Sims was reared in the Israel Baptist Church. At the age of fifteen, she accepted Christ as her personal Savior.
