Oh wow fall weather with these guys all you here was the wind whistling through the wetlands alligators were sunbathing not very active Our God was able to put us within inches but other than the alligators this guide found us at least three mammals 2 Raptors must have been at least 10 songbirds two different types of cranes blue herring and two spots he stopped in the fish swim next to the boat like you're sitting in an aquarium pretty amazing very nice experience. Website reservations for super sketchy but believe me it was well worth it but I guess that's the way that they operate down there these guys had it together I am an outdoor enthused and for the past 21 years an Ornithologists. I came to these guys specifically for the bird life everything else was extra and they did way more than exceed my expectations not to mention my wife in oldest daughter enjoyed the meal after as well we recommend fish po boys. And whatever is the freshest. We had an assortment of everything and a caterer is worth paying to come to your own house!!

Nothing but good vibes can't wait to come back and spend the night again down there on the bayou again. I hope this review helps your future customers understand that y'all are the creme de La Creme. Ticket price matches the product ! And if you are definitely satisfied still enough room for gratuity and worth it
After experiencing at least five different companies in New Orleans in my past visits I wish I would have came here first.

So glad this was the tour we picked. Pirate Venture, offering the private tour option, was so much fun. The hubby and I enjoyed Capitan Brent showing us the bayou highlights, we even had the pleasure of meeting his grandfather. From checking the crab pots to seeing many of his "payroll" gators....made for fantastic tour. We did hear some very large gators "communicating" to each other at our first stop, they were grunting up a storm! ( Capt. Brent said that was a rare treat. And to top off our great day, they issued my husband a veterans discount. Be sure to mention that when booking, they love their veterans. Thank you for making our vacation so memorable!

I wish Brent had his own TV show so I could watch his tour from my couch! This tour was so great! Brent knows his stuff and answered all my questions. We didnt see any alligators until the very end and it was worth the wait. He started calling the alligators like dogs and I was skeptical that it would work. Soon after we saw a head coming toward the boat... A 9 footer named Andy. Soon after another smaller came from the distance. I visit New Orleans regularly and this was my first swamp tour, and it wont be the last and only Pirate Venture.

Best swamp tour in Louisiana!! Capt. Brent did a great job! Best part about the whole trip was how quiet and personal Brent made everything!! Would definitely recommend it to anyone!

The hotel concierge instead we go with there preferred company but being in the hotel industry from Georgia I know how that works so we did our own research. We found these guys they looked very authentic, from the website that some things were misspelled do the pictures that look like they were not fabricated. So we decided to go with these guys. And oh wow oh wow oh wow. he explained to us not to get excited for seeing alligators but he would do the best that he could in the cooler conditions "55 degrees." Well he definitely delivered we got to feed alligators in January that he explained is very abnormal. We also ran into some cousins of the guide that were hunting rabbits. They told us "we were crazy for being on the boat with him because they just gave him his license back after losing two customers a year ago" it was of course a joke because he could not be any more professional. The little guy was so informative I cannot believe the information is guy was telling us , this would definitely be a good place to take children with all of their questions. He knew everything from the plants, the birds that flew over, where to find certain birds my husband was very adamant on seeing a "rosette spoonbill" . He said hold on I know a place and sure enough he did. not to mention we were all by ourselves on our own boat and we never seen anyone else around in the main waterways yes but once we got into the interior of the terrain no one was around.Along the way he had fish lines where we were able to see up close how the commercial fishing industry harvest seafood. And then on top of that we ate lunch that was prepared by a private chef prepared with seafood harvested from his family members, shrimp fettuccine is definitely a recommendation and I am telling you all it is a must see! We were skeptical for the price and the product but at the end we felt like we underpaid for the experience. We purchase the entire boat and lunch for around $250
I cannot be any more happier this guy went above and beyond to make sure our experience was as authentic as possible and his reply was "welcome to my office, this is what we do for our customers everyday." We are so coming back this summer!!!
