Giselle was amazing. Highly recommend. We had such a good time and saw so many beautiful homes, and lots of history. Cemetery stop was very informative. We were the only 3 on this tour so Giselle tailored the tour to what we wanted to see. Isabelle and Giselle were great. Will definitely contact them if we get to New Orleans again.
Such a nice experience. We were warmly welcomed by Giselle, our guide. The guide and the tour was extremely helpful, good and Giselle was flexible ( appreciate this). She gave us time to walk around, she gave us extra clothes for the swamp and she also offered to drop us off anywhere we wanted and for that Giselle deserve a special thanks!
Giselle is also incredibly knowledgeable and funny!!
We truly enjoyed visiting the plantation and the swamp and we would totally and highly recommend ‘Tour with Isabelle ‘.
Merci beaucoup!
A great company to work with. My group was a cancel and rebook from 2020, the group was 14 people and the day of departure I tested positive for covid and was not able to go to assist the clients. Isabella & Rene were both amazing in doing everything possible for my clients. They all reported having an amazing day. Thank you so much for easing my mind when I couldn't be there to help.
The entire tour was very absorbing, informative and well-managed. Gisele, the tour guide from Isabelle's Tours, was charming, knowledgeable and organized, and I found her personal anecdotes both relevant and revealing. I highly recommend this tour if you are looking for meaningful insight/understanding of authentic plantation life. St. Joseph provided a clear sense of the white experience of plantation existence (not “Gone with the Wind”) while Whitney focused on the plantation life from the enslaved perspective. Both plantations were absorbing, especially Whitney, where the extensive effort to properly document experiences was obvious. Anyone interested in the real history of the plantation era in the south should absolutely take this tour.
I've been on several of Isabelle's tours over the years. I like the small group size so the guides can answer questions. The guides are very knowledgeable & friendly. Highly recommend the city tour, plantations & swamp tour.
