(February 24, 2022, 6:28 pm)This place is great. Mild highway noise, but otherwise peaceful and had no issue with other campers. Grab a Wild Louisiana stamp from walmart for less than $10 and enjoy 14 days boondocking here. One of the only spots to camp in the area in an RV that isn't a parking lot.
(September 13, 2021, 11:34 am)Awesome place. Stayed here a few nights doing hurricane relief. It's clean and there is a swamp tour within walking distance of the camp ground. Super cool.
(April 6, 2021, 10:29 pm)Please be aware that this campground is only "free" if you obtain a Louisiana Wildlife permit (fishing, hunting,etc). If you don't have a permit you could receive a citation for camping here. It is patrolled by Louisiana Wildlife officers. This is especially true for non residents of Louisiana. I am only posting this to correct the other reviews that mention this as a free campground.
