“I started attending this church a little over a month ago. The Pastor and the members are very friendly and welcoming. It is a bible teaching and preaching church that has a heart for those of us that struggle. The pictures were taken just a short while ago after the Christmas Eve Service. The service was really pleasant. If you are in the Walker-Denham Springs Area and want to attend a non judgemental and welcoming church I highly recommend South Walker Baptist Church. I just moved here a couple of months ago and walked into the church not knowing a soul, now I have met many kind and friendly Christian church members. Merry Christmas Everyone!”

“This is in my opinion the greatest church in LaPlace. The pastor, his wife, the staff, & congregation were always such a joy to be with. The music, teaching & preaching and fellowship was exceptional. We were there for about 3 months for a job. If we lived there permanently this wld be our home church. I love and miss those ppl. The presence of God was there and they all blessed and uplifted my soul and made a life time impression on us. Go go go visit them if you are in the area looking for a church.”

“It's hard to write a review about the center of your family and community life - that's what St. Mary's is for us and has been for a LONG time. My wife and I were married here. My parents were married here. AND, my grandparents were married here. We've also had a great ran of priests here, including the current priest, Father Pat Broussard. You should definitely speak to him, if you need help. He's a great confessor, too! Confession, by the way, is on Saturdays before the Vigil Mass. Also, the Knights of Columbus are great in this parish - you can find them on Facebook and Twitter (council #1998) or by calling the church office.”

“I was just beginning my road trip when I decided before I went on my way, I would stop by a local Baptist church to praise our savior, Jesus Christ. I’m sure glad I did because every single staff and member made me truly feel as though I was a part of their church community. Chad, the pastor, saw me sitting by myself and introduced himself to me and we had a nice conversation and it turns out he knew one of the pastors at my home church. (Small world!) Afterwards, I attended a Bible study class and while it wasn’t as big as my own (This class had about 12 people while my own class has over 70 weekly), I was able to be more confident and spoke up. It was a great discussion. I highly recommend this church to anybody looking for a warm, loving, community that loves God. Even if you’re passing through (like I did), check out the service before leaving New Orleans. You won’t regret it! I’m recommending all my friends and everybody at Houston’s First to come here as their church away from their home church. Lord, bless Chad and this Church and it’s members!”
