(January 8, 2019, 4:10 pm)Lots of work being done at Sandy Point here in early January, but the views are still excellent. I was a little surprised at the $3 entry fee to the Park. There is lots to see and do here in the warmer months. If you're new to Maryland and the Chesapeake Bay the place to start your adventure is Sandy Point State Park!!

(December 23, 2018, 5:58 pm)Went to the Lights on the Bay. Might be just us, but it seems like less displays this year. Our 5 year old loved the 3D glasses. Overall, a great little family tradition we have. Would recommend it, definitely.

(August 26, 2018, 7:51 pm)We had a great time...but when we got out our lunch to eat on the beach we were literally swarmed on by flies. Like thousands of them. It was gross. I don't know where they came from. We didn't see any before we took out food and as soon as it was put away they left. The dumpsters had flies of course...but some of them, were really bad. It looked like one side of the dumpsters was alive...every inch of it was covered with a black layer of flies. Other than that it was fantastic. Loved the concession stand, the beach was nice and the view was breath taking. The bathrooms were clean and nice when we visited. I am an outdoor kind of person but it was just too many flies. We will try the picnic area next time.
