  As a member of the LGBT community I have felt a lot of rejection from churches (FYI to some other churches/members in some churches, showing people hate is NOT how to bring them to Jesus!). When I moved to Middle River, then to Rising Sun, I was looking for a new church home and started just asking if I was welcome before staying for worship services, a pastor at Freedom/WOL gave a response that made me feel welcome (even though I kind of cornered him and pretty much was like WHAT DO YOU ALL THINK OF THE GAYS HERE?! poor guy LOL). Regardless of whatever his personal opinion on homosexuality may be (I still don't know!), he and the rest of the pastoral staff as well as church members made me feel safe to worship Jesus there - that's all I wanted. I don't want to change anyone's beliefs, I just want to be allowed to worship! I have since moved out of state but Way of Life/Freedom was so good to me and my wife. We never felt uncomfortable there. Zero judgment and LOTS of Jesus and sermons on how to better your life plus awesome contemporary Christian music. I wish I could teleport back to Maryland every Sunday for church!

  I love this Church . Everyone makes me feel like I'm at home . So glad I found this church .

  Today was my 3rd time at the middle river campus and church all together. David's message was perfectly expressed with passion and love. Katie was one of the singers on the praise team and I sat next to her during the message. Afterwards I had the pleasure of meeting them and talking about joining the team as a singer. I felt the presence of the Holy Spirit there, and it radiated through Both of the wonderful people I met today. You should really give this church a try. I suggest going a few Sunday's in a row because the pastors circulate through each campus and chances are, you will find at least one pastor that you connect with on every level who God uses to speak to your heart and make sense to your spirit deep down like I felt today with the two wonderful people I was blessed enough to experience.   I visited this church this morning with my children. I enjoyed it very much. The people were friendly. The music was great. I wish there was a campus near my home.
