After considerable research and online comparisons, I chose Scott Bannar to tune our piano and am confident this was an excellent choice. His work was everything you could look for: reliable, punctual, professional and knowledgeable. Our piano hadn't been tuned for two decades and I was concerned that it would be a difficult and costly job. Scott explained everything he was doing and without any apparent difficulty whatsoever was able to get our piano back into great shape. He pointed out things that were not perfect about the key action and what could be done about it, but he noted that it wasn't required that anything further be done and the piano was completely in tune. I feel he is an honest, experienced and excellent craftsman and will definitely use him for all future piano related needs.
Scott tuned my piano in the Canton section of Baltimore for the first time today and I was extremely happy with his service. He was personable, knowledgeable, and gave fair pricing for the work he put in! I will definitely be having him tune again, and look forward to possibly purchasing a better piano from him when I choose to upgrade in a couple of years.
Scott has graciously come to our home multiple times to service and tune our century old upright piano. He has been very forthright about major repairs, very honest in his assessment of usability and practicality of major revamping. He tunes it beautifully, and keeps tweaking it to keep it going for us. Hate to see the old girl go to a junkyard, but one day may have to. Will highly recommend him to everyone as he does great work, charges reasonable rates and is an honest person with practical advice that doesn't necessarily line his pockets. Hard to find combination these days!
Scott Bannar has been taking great care of our piano for many years. He is totally reliable and very competent. It is a pleasure having Scott work in our home. Whenever we needed advice with regard to any piano concerns, whether it be moving or maintaining our warranty, Scott's help and expertise have been invaluable.
