  I have been working out at Pulse for almost two years now. I chose to work out there based on location and the fact that it is a 24hr gym (for some reason that appeals to me, just in case midnight strikes and I have the urge to workout! Ha!) :)
  
  Pulse has a lot to offer the community of Sparks, MD. It is a small gym atmosphere without high pressure sales. The owner knows just about everyone who walks through the gym door.
  Members love the fact that when they come in, there is NEVER a fight for a machine because it just doesn't get overly crowded. Members are offered numerous types of memberships, including discounts for teachers, local businesses and local neighborhoods. Many different types of fitness classes are offered during the week at all different times: Yoga, Piyo, Spin, Bodypump, Zumba, Barre. Need a personal trainer? They have multiple trainers to work with at just about any hour of the day and the first session is free when you join.

  Could not ask for a better experience or better people. Over the years I have been to a number of local gyms and Pulse is by far the best when it comes to the friendliness of the staff, their knowledge, and their willingness to help.
  
  I was looking to find a gym to help me on my weight lose journey and the owners and staff at Pulse have helped me every step of the way. To date they have helped me lose over 150 pounds and I am overjoyed at my results. From the owner taking time to help me set up work out plans, to the trainers, help, and then all the words of encouragement from the staff, I love all the help they have given me during my journey.
  
  It is not a huge "mega gym", which for me meant it was not intimidating, It has all the equipment you could ever need, and they have tons of group classes. The 24 hour access is a huge bonus too for people like me who work evening shift and want a quick workout at 1 or 2 in the morning.
  
  Keep up the great work and I look forward to being with you for a long time.

  I give Pulse 5 stars - more if I could. The staff is friendly, courteous and helpful. The equipment, both aerobic and weights, is very good. It's clean and kept in good working order. Yes, occasionally a piece breaks down, but as soon they know about, the staff calls for repairs. You cannot ask for more than that. There's a good mix of machines. Because of my schedule, I don't do the classes - but I do use a trainer twice a month and he is GREAT! The gym is small, which to me is a plus - it's more personal. At first I thought the fee was a bit high, but I've since changed my mind because it is well-kept AND, best of all - I have 24 hour access in safety.
