“8/16/18 Walked in to look at a 2 bedroom apartment and was greeted by Ms. Octavia. Very lovely young lady. She show my sister, girlfriend and myself the apartment which was nice. Octavia went above and beyond with answering questions before we even asked and that was I must say great. She took her time showing the place and giving information of what can be done to the apartment and what can not. Also this place has 24hr workout room and 2 pools. The complex is big and very close to shopping and 695. If your looking here for an apartment I advise you to talk with Ms Octavia.”

“I have been here since May of 2018, and I Love the place. At any given time I can see the grounds crews working, along with the maintenance men working. Ever encounter I have had with them has been very positive, even with the rental agents. I have never seen any VERMIN in my apt. and I better not. Nice Place To Live Thus Far”

“Will not honor anything said over the phone or in person. Everything must be in writing. They may miss emails sent to them but you can always forward it and therefore have a record. Try calling and asking them to respond to your email in order to get confirmation. (This is apparently normal for most people/places in Baltimore something about trust issues?) Hand your keys to them when you leave. Do not leave them in the apartment even if they say it is ok. They will just charge you extra rent for however many days it takes them to go get the keys. You can totally pay your rent with a credit card through their portal which may or may not work for a $40 fee. Floors are super creaky, request 3rd floor if you are a light sleeper (even with a white noise machine!) They are cheaper anyways. Will you find a better apartment complex for this price? Not in Baltimore. This place is pretty safe, quiet, and friendly overall. I'm just bitter that they were able to pull one over on me. Good ol' Baltimore, always tryin to keep ya on your toes.”

“Waited at least 6months before doing this review i give it 5 stars and i will explain why. Price point* On lakeside blvd or even in this newtown area rent for a 3bd ranges from lowest 1500ish to about 2400.00 monthly not including water. Ive lived at other apartments in this area and also viewed others in the area. Owings run has a hearty mix of luxury comparing to the other higher cost rentals in the area. You will get the updated kitchen and bath (good) carpeting and the layouts are great for larger families (spacious) Noise control* Ive paid 2400 per month in this area in a luxury apartment. Unfortunately you could hear everyone and everything. Owings run must be either constucted well or a younger building because i do not hear my neighbors. I am on the top floor with young kids and haven't received any noise complaints. Parking and trash* Ample parking never an issue there. Ive lived at places where i could never get a good parking spot or there was assigned parking i appreciate that there is no issues like that here. In my court there are 4 dumpsters. I believe theres someone that does interior exterior clean up daily. I scoped this area for about a year before applying. Liter is a big turn off for me and would definitely deter me. Only during holidays such as last xmas did i see an overflow of big boxes and trash bags in the dumpster area Insects and vermon* All renters are most likely aware of this issue or have experienced this before. Ive seen some bugs. I notified the office and an exterminator was sent out that week. I hace high ceilings so i see an occasional spider or "pincher bug." At this time mice seem to be the issue. They are small (deer mice) i hear them at night scurrying around and ive seen them the evening sneaking around the boarders of my apartment. I saw one enter squeezing through my front door. Theyve left presents all around (on the floor) not counters. Yes this is annoying but the view from my balcony is a beautiful wooded area with trees streams and deer. It is expected. The company does wgat they can to ease this issue. Maintenance* I use the website to report maintenance issues. I usually receive a call from their representative within 2days. Shes very kind attentive and respectful. My issue is always resolved within the week. Negatives* The intercome system and main door have caused annoyance. There was a time we got locked inside the building. I was stuck outside. A neighbor on the bottom floor allowed me to enter through her patio. Eventually emergency personnel came due to the fire risk a lot of people said they called 911. For now our main is unsecured. Its been maintenanced a few times this month. The lock is messed up not sure why the door has not been replaced. Other* Renters with kids will appreciate the full sized washer and dryer...nice sized bathrooms...and great tucked in storage areas...also high ceilings... No im not being rewarded for this review! I hope this helps.”
