(January 7, 2019, 12:00 pm)Hidden gem that's not too far off beaten trail... Plenty of playgrounds, hiking trails, and beautiful country side. Camping and picnic pavilions available as well. Be sure to check out the Rapid Trail! There is nothing quite like it that I've found without making the trip to Western Maryland.

(December 29, 2018, 4:21 pm)Fantastic park with excellent trails for walking or running. It also has a really great disc golf course that has good holes for beginners and intermediate players. The only reason I wouldn't give it five stars is because the bathrooms are utter trash and most of them are closed during the winter making finding a bathroom a difficult thing to do.

(November 20, 2018, 9:41 am)Super pretty spot with some awesome trails. We didn't have much time to spend here before it got dark/they closed but it was beautiful nonetheless, and pretty quiet. Looking forward to going back!

(July 4, 2018, 5:24 pm)What a beautiful place! Today, for Independence Day, there were a lot of families and friends out for picnic and BBQ. They enjoyed the great pavilions, BBQ pits or scenic spots along the Patapsco river. Other than the McKeldin rapids and designated no swim zones, many enjoyed a refreshing dip in the river. Today I hiked along the perimeter to the river and then followed the path along the river back up to the parking lot. The northern end of the park is close to the Marriottsville shooting range and for a small part of the trail I could hear the practice shots. But in most places just the wind in the trees and the gentle sounds of the river. Walking meditation. Thanks for this beautiful place of healing. Thanks to the park rangers and volunteers who keep it accessible and wild!
