(January 13, 2019, 8:15 pm)Sat at the bat with 3 friends. Chris was behind the bar and was as sweet as usual. We did arrive rather late, and I did feel a bit rushed to place my order and be out by 9pm. Calamari App with house salad was good. The steamed mussels are excellent!!! Bakers is a favorite spot for the locals and is known for homemade comfort food. Reasonable prices!

(January 11, 2019, 9:01 pm)My wife I came here as a last minute decision and are very pleased. We are very pleased with the atmosphere. Elvis was in the building for a time and a live band was playing oldies. The band was very good.
We ordered the sirloin and it was received as ordered. perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Our waitress Jeanne was attentive and did an overall outstanding job. This is out 2nd time here but won't be our last. -

(December 6, 2018, 4:51 pm)We came down to celebrate a wedding at Baker's and we were very impressed with the food. We had three tables of between 6 and 8 people each. We were given one server and she was AMAZING!!!! Didn't miss a drink refill the entire night, had all of our orders correct, and she looked unflappable the entire time. The Christmas decor was plentiful tastefully done. I enjoyed the prime rib - twice! There was more than enough for left-overs the next day. I also had a sampling of the scalloped potatoes; wow! Delicious! And the Crab Bisque had sooo much crab in it - fantastic!

(October 28, 2018, 7:33 pm)We were visiting the area and wanted to eat somewhere that wasn't a chain. We saw this place and stopped in on a whim. I'm so glad we did!
We are a family of 7 so going out to eat can easily overwhelm many small restaurants. This was not the case here! They didn't bat an eye and quickly sat us at a large round table. It was dark, but clean and the menus were simple but enticing!
The kids got grilled cheese, chicken fingers, a burger, and a cornbread dish. They were all good, but the fries stood out. They were fantastic! The kids meal portions were good sized and the 2 kids who got big boy meals were happy with theirs too.
My husband and I both ordered fried oysters with 2 sides. The green beans did taste canned but were still good. The star of the show, however, were the oysters. They were super big and juicy and fried to perfection! I've never had fried oysters before and they were incredibly delicious! My husband has had them before and said they aren't usually this good. I think I will save myself disappointment and just not bother with fried oysters unless I'm at Baker's restaurant ????
I hope we will get the opportunity to come back in the future!
