  One of the best Scout camps for younger Scouts, but have a lot to do for older Scouts. Covers a lot of ground, with hills, so expect to get your exercise in. Staff is always there to help and listen, and will do what they can to assist you and make your "stay" enjoyable. Of course to really enjoy you have to participate, try the Bay Hike even.

  Wonderful Scout camp with many activities and an all around exceptional staff. This is the 3rd camp that I've attended as an adult leader with my son (now two attending) and it is overall the best of them.
  
  First, getting the not so good out of the way: food is only ok compared to others, like Citta, but is about average and often let to reliance on the salad bar. Spiders are at home here, so as long as you realize this is their habitat and bring netting or otherwise shoe them away repeatedly, you will be fine. Some of the sites are better than others, so be aware when planning your stay.
  
  On to the positives, far too many to list them all; the BrownSea first year Scout program is spectacular, the staff all go above and beyond for every boy and leave them with foundational skills better than the other camps we've been to, including that of where my older son did his Dan Beard program. The programs offered are unique, challenging, fun, and engaging for the boys, including High Adventure Sailing, which is actually done over a week outside of camp. If you can have your son do a week of camp and a week of H.A.S., it's a once in a lifetime experience they will not forget. Next, everywhere throughout the campgrounds are beautiful sights, especially the bay areas, there is pure silence at night and no light pollution from surroundings, and there is enough to keep you busy, even as a leader, that the adults' Brown Lodge was an afterthought. Last, but not least, the kids really enjoyed the opening and closing campfires. Camp Rodney is easily 5 stars in my book.

  Great scout camp. All the bad reviews are from people who think it's going to be like a hotel where you're going to get served your stuff to you and not do anything. It's a great place to exercise and lose weight! I came back 7 pounds lighter than before!

  My favorite BSA camp for weekend camping for over a decade. It's beautiful, the cabins and campsites are great, and the activities are plentiful. Plus you can't beat a hike along the Bay's shoreline. Even with any many trips as I've taken there, I know that there is more to explore within the wilderness area and other campsites. Truly a great place to go!
