BEAUTIFUL. Go, even if you don't like hiking. Just take the lower falls trail if you're not a big hiker , the cliff trail can get a little intense.
A little busy but overall was a great place for hiking and walking the dog.
Been coming here since I was a kid. Two great trails leading up the the falls. One is flat and easy, the other is steeper and more out of the way. I know the park is trying to discourage people climbing the falls now, but it's just what you do.
An absolutely lovely place to visit all year long. Take a short or linger hike to the falls. If handicapped there is additional parking that has a wheelchair accessible entrance to the falls.
A lovely lake to swim in or go fishing. Boats available to rent.
An extremely clean park.
We love going up to the lake. There is sand, plenty of shade and the best part, you can BBQ right where you are. Folks can bring tents, I've never seen it be too crowded although parking is very limited so the key is to come early. The water feels nice, not that icky feeling from going to the beach. They have an outdoor shower to rinse off yourself of sand and indoor showers where the bathrooms are, so convenient. The view is wonderful and they have life guards to keep everyone safe.
