Awesome hike, would be great in the fall to maximize the amount you can see. Easy hike...about a mile
Loved the trails.
This overlook is amazing. It’s slightly overgrown, but it is clear enough to see most of the valley. It is also a very short distance from the parking lot. Only complaint I would have is it doesn’t have restrooms.

The Charcoal Exhibit Trail can also be accessed from the nearby Thurmont Vista Trail (Blazed Pink/Purple Rectangle) or from the Hog Rock Loop Trail (Blazed Yellow Rectangle.)
