(March 8, 2019, 1:14 am)I decided to try a different mechanic since it seemed like I just kept dropping tons of money at firestone every time I came in for an oil change. Melvins by far was the most reasonably priced place around to change my spark plugs and front break pads. I called about 10 shops in the harford co area and no one could beat their price. My vehicle was serviced and back to me in under 7hrs. It's so nice not to feel like you are being taken for all your hard earned money. This will definitely be my go to place going forward with anything that has to do with my car. Thank you Melvin & everyone at the shop for your honesty and reasonable pricing!!! You guys are the definition of integrity!

(November 13, 2018, 10:31 am)Took a tire here to be repaired. Dropped it off on my way to work they called when it was done and I was able to go back on my lunch break to have them put the tire back on. Very convenient.

(July 18, 2018, 8:11 pm)Bottom line, they have a captive audience, but the service seems on par with many of the local/regional places nearby. The quality of service for a leaking tire was good, and the time was fair (4-5 hours). This isn't a dealership with a friendly face waiting to take your order. The gentleman behind the counter was gruff, rough around the edges and not into idle chit chat. He seemed, however, to be a mechanic himself which has its own rewards. All in all, not great, not horrible. Solidly 3.5 stars.
