  After looking around my wife and I used Houck's Upholstery to re-upholster a late 80's Chaise Lounge that belonged to my parents, and we were so happy with the quality of his craftsmanship that we had him re-upholster an early 1940's Wingback Chair that belonged to my Great-Grandmother. Houck's Upholstery has brought back to life as well as preserved two pieces that have been in my family for a very long time. (Please see my before and after photos in the maps section.)
  
  Mr. Houck is a one man show that works out of his private shop in the Chuchville/Havre de Grace area. The quality of materials he uses and his excellent craftsmanship are second to none! He doesn't advertise, he uses strictly word of mouth to promote his business and after you see his work you will realize why he does not need to advertise, it speaks for itself. If you are considering having a piece of furniture re-upholstered look no further than Houck's Upholstery, you'll be happy you used his services I promise!!!

  Recently had a sponge refill replaced for a Lane Recliner Chair Cushion. The Chair was in good condition after several years and aside for the wear of the seat cushion contents, I did not want to replace the whole chair. Houck's upholstery was a Find. The Cushion is like new and so comfortable and my Chair looks like new as well. I am so very pleased with the results and recommend the Business.

  I've used Houck's twice and his work is exceptional. The first time was about 8 years ago, he reupholstered my Ethan Allen sofa and love seat along with a wing chair and the results were wonderful. This past fall I had him reupholster my furniture in my sun room and once again he didn't disappoint. My husband complained about "waffle arm" when he sat in the glider so Houcks even added cushions to the armrests at no charge and they look like part of the furniture. I would highly recommend his services to anyone who wants quality work and craftsmanship.
