  Solid, casual instruction. Nicely paced. Combination of lecture and on-the-boat training. Would happily recommend.

  They have the best teachers and nicest staff! I took a class 8 years ago and chartered several times on clean, well-equipped boats. I love stopping by to visit now that we have our own boat. Great group of people!

  I had a great experience at BaySail. Everyone I met at the location was helpful and friendly. The Capri 22 we trained on was clean and well maintained. I have ben sailing a few years, but had never taken any formal training courses. I took a three day, all women ASA 101 with Captain Amy and was amazed at how much I learned from her. Not only that, but I feel she helped me to gain much more confidence on the water and sailing my own vessel. She was super knowledgeable, kind, and patient with the endless questions I asked her and an absolutely wonderful instructor. I'm looking forward to taking my ASO 103 with her in the future.

  I just completed the 101 and I was thoroughly impressed by our knowledgeable and patient instructor, well-maintained equipment, clean facilities and professionalism from everyone I met.
  
  I have taken many certification training courses for work-related IT topics over the years and most of my instructors could learn a thing or two from Michael, our instructor for the ASA 101. He walked us through everything we needed to know to pass the certification exam as well as make us functional sailors on a Capri 22 in two days. I read the study material and can verify that Michael covered every single topic with clarity and purpose. His insight into every nuance of the boat and its behavior was invaluable and every question we asked he explained to us so that everyone understood. He also provided historical notes and explained "why" throughout our classroom and hands-on instruction on the Chespeake. With absolutely no negativity, he patiently and skillfully showed us what we needed to know. He is the reason I am scheduling the 103 with Baysail as quickly as possible.
  
  Baysail's facilities are also extremely well-maintained by their courteous and professional staff. They had clean bathrooms with showers and places to change as well as hot, free coffee. :-) The boat that we were on was in full working order and I would not hesitate to charter their equipment moving forward. I will be taking the 103 or 103/104 combination next and Baysail is where I will be going. This was without a doubt the best money I have spent on practical education in over 10 years...

  Took ASA 101 here with Capt. Jerry. The quality of the instruction was top-notch, and the boats and facility were great. Even though the weather over the weekend was a bit dodgy, we had a motivated group and Jerry was game to let us get blown around a bit if we wanted. Seeing actual broaches and (controlled) accidental jibes (all of which were well within the limits of safety) was fantastic and really made me have more confidence in the boat. All in all, I'd recommend this course to anyone thinking about it.
