  I brought my 4 year old daughter to the Pediatric ER yesterday morning after it was recommended by our local Urgent Care due to her difficulty breathing. As a parent, it is extremely scary when the Urgent Care tells you to make no stops, go directly to the ER!
  
  The check-in process was efficient - she was quickly given a room and treatment began immediately. Kudos to Doctors Tsai and Tarectecan, the Respiratory Therapist, and her nurse Eryn! They acted quickly, regularly checked on her throughout her stay, and discharged her after closely monitoring her for a few hours. We had an excellent experience here and I would definitely recommend the Pediatric ER at Howard Co General Hospital!
  
  Improvement recommendation would be for the cafeteria to deliver food to ER rooms. If you're alone with a young child, it's not safe to leave them unattended. Would have been extremely convenient to be able to order food for dropoff in the room.

  My experience here was different from many of the other reviewers. I recently came here for an emergency urological procedure and found the nurses and doctors to be very supportive and caring. They frequently followed up to ask how I was feeling and explained my condition and treatment in detail.
  
  Yes, the entire process is likely to take several hours, but that is true for every emergency room around the country. Emergencies are, by definition, unplanned so ERs are constantly getting new patients and overflows are common throughout the day and night. This is especially true today with the shortage of labor.
  
  If you are not 100% sure that your situation merits an emergency room visit, I would recommend first going across the street to the Patient First urgent care center. They take walk-ins, and someone there was able to see me within 45 minutes. I thought the staff there was also very good, and they should be able to tell you whether your situation requires that you to go to the ER.

  These people were very kind and courteous to a homeless guy with a irregular heartbeat. And I was specifically like to thank the ladies of the observation unit they made me feel like home. God bless all of you and support staff...
  I would like to thank the doctors also they never came back but sometimes that's a good thing🤣💯🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🙌
