  Jim at the Scooter Shop helped me rent a scooter for my Mom to try out. It was such a good experience, I decided to purchase from the Scooter Shop. I feel very confident that if I have any issues at all, Jim would come right out and fix it. When the first scooter was difficult for my Mom to use due to her arthritis (controlled by thumb pedals), Jim showed me a power-chair model with joystick and allowed me a weekend rental for free. He showed me how to take the chair apart and it was pretty easy. My Mom liked it so much, she decided to buy it. And he had every color in stock! Trust me, give Jim a call if you are considering a scooter or power chair. Now is a great time to get one, my Mom has been so isolated and bored with the stay-at-home order and now she can join me on long walks with the kids and dog!

  I broke my foot in 5 places, and out of country. My son searched around for a knee rollator, as I had requested, and The Scooter Shop had exactly what I sought. Jim and Co. were quite pleasant, and accommodating, which was nice, as the excursion had been quite stressful; it was nice to finally arrive in the states, and be instantly mobile, in my home.
  When I needed to extend the rental, I could do so, with just a phone call. Returning was easy, as well. Thank you for a pleasurable experience. I definitely recommend The Scooter Shop.

  I worked with Jim. I informed him my elderly Mom needed something easy and portable. He got me exactly what I needed. We was easy to work with and gave me a great deal on a scooter. My Mom is happy to come walking (scooting) with us and isn't holding anyone back. She loves the independence. I highly recomend The Scooter Shop for any rental or purchases. They are awesome!

  If you are ever in need of any equipment such as scooters, electric chairs, walkers or other devices that will make your quality of life better I highly recommend Jim and The Scooter Shop. My father purchased a motorized chair for easier mobility when the walk to dining facilities in his retirement home was just too much to complete. Jim could not have been any nicer and was very knowledgeable as well as helpful in deciding on the model to purchase. We are very pleased with the chair and will drive the extra distance to their store if we need anything else in the future.

  Jim and his colleagues at the Scooter Shop have a lot of knowledge about Power Wheelchairs and Scooters. They pride themselves on quality customer service, and work with a respected vendor in the area to order durable medical equipment (DME) for their customers. Jim (the shop owner) has a wealth of information about available products on the market, and has been certified to provide guidance on the topic. Pick his brain! He's approachable, patient, and honest. You will definitely be in good hands with him.
  
  His staff provided the same level of service,
  too. They quickly addressed my need for a loaner wheelchair. Delivered it to my front door within a 72-hours, and provided a charger, and an operating tutorial.
  
  It should be noted that The Scooter Shop does not participate with insurance companies for their rentals, and will not file a claim on your behalf. That said, they do encourage their clients to submit claims independently should they choose to do so.
  
  If working with insurance is not an option. The shop's out-of pocket rates are very reasonable and highly competitive, particularly for the DC-Metro Area. The staff understand that rental times vary for each individual, so they're willing to work with you to determine an an appropriate rental agreement, too. I highly recommend them, trust them implicitly, and will return as a customer.
