“We love Glen Mar! The teachers are excellent and truly care for the kids. The leadership is excellent and draws great teachers. Everything is well done. I think I knew it would be a great experience going there when we signed up and there was breakfast foods and coffee the morning of open enrollment. The staff knew they were expecting a big group and that we would be waiting well in advance and they were so gracious to us, letting us in early and making sure everyone was well accounted for. I appreciate the great communication about everything as well. Also, they are open most of the time even when schools are closed for snow. There was one time I wasn't even comfortable driving at all, but Glen Mar was open on time. I think this is a great advantage if you need to go into work despite the weather.”

“Howard High School gives student equal opportunities to learn. For those who would like to excel further than standard classrooms, there are GT (Gifted & Talented), AP (Advanced Placement), and Honors versions of classes. Howard High school has many programs to try and help students feel accepted on a social level such as the Best Buddies program. The teachers are well trained, however sometimes students can be very distracting.”

“I can't say enough positive things about the wonderful staff & environment at Childtime, ellicott city. We switched our infant son to this facility urgently after a scary incident at another daycare & boy are we glad we did! The staff were always wonderful, caring, informative, & responsible. The rooms and toys were disinfected daily, updates were timely & informative. Ms Janet & Ms Courtney were so wonderful & we would have never left if we weren't moving out of the area. The staff here really put my mind at ease & made it a little easier to leave my son to go to work each day.”

“We were so lucky to find WLCN when we were searching for a Pre-K program for our daughter. Ms. Carren and Ms. Jessica in the 4’s class were a dream duo; they are kind, nurturing, and very knowledgeable in their application of the early childhood curriculum. We especially loved how they handled social emotional learning and their ability to redirect and teach social skills - it is so important to find teachers who model problem solving and compassionate social emotional competencies. The teachers put a lot of hard work into monthly lesson planning, and it shows when you volunteer in the classroom. Lessons are well thought out, creative, and connected. They have built in time for math, literacy, and STEM. They do it all! Everything about the school is very efficiently run; the parent committees and the organization was wonderful, and the co-op program made every parent very involved. It is such a warm environment for parents, students, and their families. Had we not moved over the summer we would have loved to put our son in the 2yo program as well next year. Thank you so much to WLCN for providing such a wonderful first learning experience for our family. We were so blessed to have Ms. Carren and Ms. Jessica as our daughters first teachers. The only thing that I would change is that I wish that we had found WLCN earlier!”

“Our daughter has been at CMS for about a year and a half and we are thrilled with the quality of education, care, and support she and we receive. All of her teachers have been warm, attentive, and deeply passionate about their work with the children. She is more confident and outgoing than she was before coming to CMS and her academic progress (which I'm not really that focused on) has been tremendous. Hey creativity has blossomed along with her social skills. Coming in, I was a little nervous about the shift (she was at a play based home daycare previously), but she is really thriving at CMS. We feel very lucky to have found such a supportive school and community.”

“I left this school in 2012 and it is the best elementary school that anybody could ever go to in their whole entire life. The teachers there are amazing and so nice. The guidance counselor is always there for you. And everyone there cares a lot for you. My years at this school were some of the greatest times of my life.”

“I have the great fortune of living in the Running Brook school district. All 3 of my children attended RB, and loved this school. Running Brook has exceptional and dedicated teachers, who provide a quality education for all students. While I no longer have elementary aged children, I volunteer weekly just to be a part of this amazing school community. Nancy Glass”

“I have had my kids at Ed-u-care since 2007 when my son was born. When we toured centers, we fell in love with Jonette, the director right away. While I understand the concerns of the other 2 people about there not being a security system in place, I have to say that the staff is extremely caring and I have always felt that my kids are safe and being well taken care of. Jonette has put a keypad on the door on more than one occasion, but each time, it has not worked properly. It is a small center, so the staff focus on working in the classroom. Jonette runs a great center, that is very affordable and she will work with parents when difficulties arise. My son was there for 3 years, and my daughter was there for 2 years. We always felt that they received a great education and had lots of fun while they were there. Both kids often came home with art projects and work from other lessons. While driving one day, my then 2.5 year old son saw a stop sign and called it an octagon. When I praised Jonette about it, she said she believed in teaching kids as much as they could handle... she wanted to go further than just some of the basics (square, circle, triangle, rectangle), so she went on. My son was very well prepared for pre-k when he entered it and is doing very well in school now as a soon-to-be 2nd grader. On many, many occasions, my kids cried because they did not want to leave at the end of the day. In both cases that we had to stop care with her, we only left because of the fact that we live an hour from the center and our family needs changed (I took off work for a year and then my daughter needed to be closer to home to receive speech services). Jonette always looks for ways to improve the center and she really loves the kids and families that she works with. At Ed-u-care, the kids are not just a number, but you really become part of a family. Please, take the time to set up a scheduled tour with Jonette. Her rates are very reasonable, and she works with teachers (in not requiring payment over the summer for no care). This is a hidden gem of a center that you don't want to pass up. ”

“I can't say enough great things about this school. From the first time I visited I felt it was special, visits to three other schools confirmed this feeling. It is now our second year at the school and we are already looking forward to having our youngest attend in a few more years. Miss Judy and Miss Kathy are amazing at what they do, to say they are only teachers would be a false statement because they are so much more - they are the heart of the school. Wonderful environment with a play-based curriculum and nurturing support where children can thrive!”

“Comparing this school to aacps high schools (I've been to one), long reach is very nice. It was easy to make friends because I saw some people in more than one class, there are lots of outgoing students and teachers. the teachers care about your education and counselors encourage students to be involved. sports/ clubs are advertised very well and the school overall has a nice modern appearance and is easy to navigate. it isn't overcrowded and the stairways are easy to spot. for incoming freshman, don't worry too much because the teachers are great and they offer extra help. Remember to get involved: you won't regret it!”
