  My husband and I and our three horses are very happy at Southwind Farm. The people (both boarders and staff) are friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. All disciplines truly are welcome, and nobody looks down on anyone else due to their riding style. Some people show, but many do not. There is plenty of room to ride with a large indoor and two outdoor rings as well as trails. Boarders have different schedules and ride at different times, which means that rings are rarely ever crowded, even in winter. The horses are turned out in small groups of about 5-6 in large fields. Everyone is welcome to bring their own trainer, farrier, vet, etc. Experienced farm owner and barn manager are well able to handle any veterinary emergencies that may occur, including transporting a horse to the hospital if necessary. I enjoy seeing my horses so happy and content with their routine of good care. Best of all, this farm is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. I feel like it restores my soul to be there spending time with my horses and friends. I think of Southwind Farm as my home away from home.

  Great care and knowledgeable staff. Reasonable board pricing. Large indoor and outdoor arenas. Plenty of trails available.

  Have been boarding at Southwind Farm since 2013. Nice, friendly group of boarders & staff. Excellent turnout, two outdoor arenas and an indoor arena. Great trails and assortment of cross-country jumps. Great management and bonus that most of the staff lives onsite.

  One of the best barns I have boarded my horses.
  Exceptional care and attention by the owner, Sheri and by a top level dressage rider and instructor who inspires us all. Great pastures with horses getting along well, having fun and enjoying being just horses. The indoor arena is fabulous and extremely well kept.. The sprinkling system in the indoor works very well, and the temperature indoor can go down by at least 10F after watering the arena for one minute. The outdoor arenas are big and drain very well. My horse has never looked and felt better! I know he is getting the best and I do not worry about him.
  
  The attention, the care, the know-how and the professionalism make Southwind a great barn for horses and riders.
  I highly recommend Southwind Farm!

  Southwind is a wonderful boarding facility. I have had my horse there for over a year and I have never seen him so happy and healthy. The fields are huge, there are 3 arena options (2 outdoor, 1 indoor), and amazing trails for hacking out. The barn staff has a great attention to detail which was really important for me since I live 40 miles away and cannot see my horse every day. I would highly recommend Southwind to others!
