Turtle Run Campsite

Nice campsite but watch out for the low spots if it is wet at all or mighty rain.

Have enjoyed stopping here during my recent walk on the towpath on October 27th. The campsite ???? is well maintained, organized and taken care of by superintendent Kevin Brandt and his super awesome staff and crew. It is located about a half mile east of the historic whites Ferry.

Nice campground. Grass was fairly long and could use a mowing. Only one table and fire ring.

Clean and easy to find.

Great campsite with river access. There is one picnic bench, one fire ring, and a large railroad tie for a bench by the fire pit. There is a well but is off in the winter. Well water is high in iodine so bring some nuun or electrolyte powder to mask the taste. There is also a port-a-potty in this site as well.
River bank is steep and rooty. The island is visible from the campsite. Across the canal to the East it appears to be farm land.
