I decided to try this place out on a friend's recommendation as I was tired of going to high-end spas in Bethesda which are more about the frills and less about the actual massage. I booked an appointment with one of their certified masseuses called Sophia as my friend recommended that she is one of the most thorough and versatile at this location. Boy, was she right! Sophia gave an incredible massage for my one hour appointment from head to toe, including some back walking. This lady has legs and feet that work almost like hands. I would strongly recommend for women and men who need great therapeutic work done, and who have any back issues. Clean, well maintained and good customer service. This place has definitely found it's way into my regular schedule for maximum R & R!
Oceans Spa is a quiet warm in spirit and in the rooms for a great massage. No distractions by traffic,doors opening or telephones ringing. Sophia does a great massage ,firm and can really work the knots out. She does an acupressure type treatment on focal trigger points that at the moment is painful...but releases the pain. Parking is simple on and off a Rockville Pike. A shower is available for those who want a mid day massage to clean for the oils. A great place for a massage!
We went to Oceana Spa for a couple’s massage based on Google reviews. When we arrived I kind of had a chuckle at the outside appearance of the place. I wish there was a nicer way to say “low-rent” but that was the initial impression. The large sign in the waiting area warns you that the place is “subject to police inspection” which I guess is clarifying that no one will engaged in inappropriate behavior. But don’t let the garishness fool you. The quality of the massages we received was unrivaled in all our previous experiences. It was a solid hour of individual attention to our sore, tight muscles. The place was spotlessly clean, and the staff was friendly and professional, but not chatty or distracting. Be aware that a small charge is added to credit card payments. I didn’t ask if they take personal checks. The prices are beyond reasonable, which one assumes is temporary until the business is more established. Even if/when the prices go up, we will be back.
